Auburn four-star 2027 defensive lineman commit Nate Kamba is reportedly trending toward a flip to South Carolina, with On3's Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong both logging high-confidence predictions for the Gamecocks after he visited for their win over Tennessee.
Kamba (Corvian Community, Charlotte, N.C.) committed to Auburn on June 14, 2026, picking the Tigers over South Carolina, per 247Sports. He was at Williams-Brice on Oct. 24, and Simmons reported that another SEC commit was also there as a flip target. He remains committed to Auburn. A prediction is not a flip.

Florida is reportedly the favorite for 2028 wide receiver Derrell Hines Jr., per a high-confidence On3 prediction from Blake Alderman.
He is uncommitted and lists other schools, including Nebraska.

Michigan, Ohio State circling Kentucky S commit Tristin Hughes
Kentucky safety commit Tristin Hughes is reportedly drawing a flip push from Michigan after a game-day visit to Ann Arbor, and he announced an Ohio State offer himself on X on Oct. 19, per the Morning Journal.
He has been committed to Kentucky since April and remains committed as of this update. The Ohio State offer is on record from Hughes himself, in his Oct. 19 X post. Michigan reporter Ethan McDowell called him a top flip target for the Wolverines on Oct. 23 (6:09 PM CT) and followed up with new intel Oct. 24. He remains committed to Kentucky. Miami predictions land for Florida target Asher Ghioto
Florida, once seen as the best-positioned school for 2028 five-star EDGE Asher Ghioto, is reportedly now chasing Miami after Rivals' Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons logged predictions for the Hurricanes.
He is uncommitted. Predictions are not commitments. He told Fisher Brewer (@USCTalk) on Oct. 21 that he will visit South Carolina this weekend for the Tennessee game, and Rivals' Steve Wiltfong reported the same visit Friday morning, so the Gamecocks are stirring this pot too. Texas A&M offensive tackle commit DeMarrion Johnson reportedly took a weekend visit to SMU, and SMU is reportedly working to flip him.

Penn State's head coach flies in to offer Missouri QB commit Braylen Warren
Missouri four-star 2027 quarterback commit Braylen Warren is reportedly drawing a flip push from Penn State, whose head coach Matt Campbell reportedly flew to Omaha on Oct. 21 to offer him.
He has been committed to Missouri since December 2025 and remains committed. Tim Verghese reported the visit and offer per a source, and Mike Sautter confirmed the offer. An offer is not a flip. Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz and QB coach Garrett Riley were in Omaha on Oct. 23 to watch him play, per Bobby Schneider (6:55 PM CT).

Kentucky is reportedly getting a second visit this season from 2028 prospect Lorenzo McMullen Jr., the No. 1 player in Ohio, who is expected in Lexington for the Vanderbilt game this weekend.

Texas is reportedly taking a shot at in-state Rivals300 defensive lineman Xavier Muhammad, a Michigan commit, after offering him Thursday.

Bama and the Vols emerge as the two to watch for fast-rising DL Joshua Lane
Alabama and Tennessee have reportedly emerged as the two schools to watch for 2027 defensive lineman Joshua Lane of Memphis, who is visiting Tuscaloosa this weekend, per Rivals' Chad Simmons.
Lane is uncommitted after parting ways with Memphis in late September and has called himself hopeful of deciding in December. He took a game-day visit to Tennessee on Oct. 3 and has an official visit to Knoxville planned for Nov. 7, per SI's Volunteer Country. Florida State also offered him Friday, per Kolby Crawford on X (Oct. 23, 2:26 PM CT). No prediction has been logged.

Texas takes its official-visit swing at Georgia Tech LB commit Jason Crenshaw Jr.
Texas is reportedly working to flip 2027 Georgia Tech linebacker commit Jason Crenshaw Jr. of Prattville, Ala., who took his official visit to Austin this weekend for the Ole Miss game.
Crenshaw has been committed to Georgia Tech since June 11 and remains committed. Texas offered him Sept. 21 and has no 2027 linebacker commit, per On3 and Orangebloods; 247Sports also reported Texas working to flip him. Sam Spiegelman called him one of several flip targets in Austin on Oct. 24 (5:36 PM CT). An official visit is not a flip.

Crystal Ball lands for Florida on Sarasota QB Hudson West
Florida is reportedly the pick for 2028 four-star quarterback Hudson West of Sarasota, Fla., per a medium-confidence 247Sports Crystal Ball from Tyler Harden.
West is uncommitted. Harden wrote that Florida has been trending for him for months. He also recently picked up a Missouri offer, per MizzouToday. A prediction is not a commitment.

The rumor: Texas A&M linebacker commit Aston Whiteside is reportedly trending toward a flip to Miami, with On3's Steve Wiltfong and Sam Spiegelman both logging high-confidence predictions for the Hurricanes as Whiteside nears a final decision.
What happened: Whiteside flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to Miami on Oct. 21, telling Rivals' Hayes Fawcett and Sam Spiegelman. The predictions were right.
Cajun take: That gumbo's simmering on two burners, cher. College Station and Coral Gables both got a spoon in this pot.

The rumor: Georgia five-star 2028 quarterback commit Jayden Wade is reportedly set to visit Michigan this weekend for the Indiana game, with Rivals' Steve Wiltfong and 247Sports both reporting the trip as the Wolverines push for a flip.
What happened: Wade made the Michigan visit for the Indiana game on Saturday, Oct. 24, as reported (Rivals posted photos from the trip and Steve Wiltfong reported him in Ann Arbor). He remains committed to Georgia; a visit is not a flip.

The rumor: Auburn EDGE commit Marquis Evans was reportedly a flip target for Alabama and Florida, with visits lined up to Tennessee, Alabama and Texas after a trip to Florida.
What happened: Evans shut down his recruitment and said he is locked in with Auburn after the Tigers' win over Georgia. The flip talk did not pan out.

The rumor: Texas A&M's top-ranked commit, OT Mark Matthews, was reportedly expected to visit Miami this weekend, fueling flip speculation.
What happened: GigEm247 reported that Matthews did not visit Miami this weekend. He remains committed to Texas A&M.
Cajun take: Folks set a place at the table in Miami, but the chair stayed empty. That rumor went back in the icebox.
