Brief History

• Hackberry High is a K-12 campus in the Cameron Parish School Board system, with about 210 students (2023-24).^[1]
• The Mustangs and Lady Mustangs compete in the LHSAA.^[1]
• The community rebuilt after heavy damage from Hurricanes Rita (2005) and Ike (2008), then sat in the eyewall of Category 4 Hurricane Laura in 2020.^[2]
