How it works and sources
Louisiana. LHSAA 2026-27 post-season alignment (posted 9/4/2026) sets each school’s Select/Non-Select designation and Division I-IV. The power rating (LHSAA Handbook §14.12) averages, per game: 10 for a win, 5 for a tie, 0 for a loss, plus 2 points per class and division up when playing a bigger school, plus the opponent’s wins divided by games played × 10. Field sizes, byes and seeding come from the LHSAA playoff bulletin; first-round pairings follow the bracket format LHSAA used in 2025. The LHSAA regular season ends Nov. 7; pairings are announced Nov. 8; bi-district games are Nov. 12-14.

Bi-district pairings come from the UIL/MaxPreps 2026 bracket templates (District champion vs. partner district’s 4th, runner-up vs. partner’s 3rd).
