- DeRidder lost 36-31 to Jennings and beat Westlake 48-15. DeRidder 3-3 at 10/9 (American Press).
- Kinder was 1-5, 0-1 in 7-2A at the time (American Press standings, Oct. 13).
- DeRidder plays in District 3-3A and Kinder in District 7-2A, so this is a non-district game (American Press standings).

Correction (Oct. 22, 2026): An earlier version of the pick listed Kinder’s record from before its Oct. 15 loss to Lake Arthur. The Yellowjackets were 1-6 after that game, per MaxPreps.
